December 2024
Message from the Editorial Team
Dear Threshold Community,
As 2024 draws to a close, we want to take a moment to reflect on an incredible year and share our excitement for what lies ahead in 2025.
This year, our editorial team has been stronger and more dedicated than ever. We’ve published nearly 600 news articles, 34 No Money Mondays, and 25 Reviews, Opinions, and other in-depth articles —a testament to the hard work and passion of our contributors. With steady growth in readership, engagement, and reach, 2024 has solidified Threshold’s position as a cornerstone of the flight simulation community.
Highlights from Flightsim Events
We attended three major events this year. If you ever get the chance to visit one, don’t hesitate to go!
In March, we attended FSWeekend in Lelystad, an event that impressed us with its scale and unique location. June brought FSExpo to Las Vegas—always a highlight of the year. The event was packed with exciting reveals, including Moza’s debut into flight simulation hardware. In 2025, FSExpo heads to Providence, and we’ll be there too! Rounding out the year, FSConference in November surprised us with its intimate atmosphere and focus on networking—a real gem of an event for those involved in the industry.

FSWeekend was held at the impressive Aviodrome aerospace museum in Lelystad
A Message from the Team
I (Magnus Lorvik, CEO) want to put a huge spotlight on the team this year! 2024 turned out to be the year when Threshold finally got "back on track" after the challenges brought by the pandemic, which forced us to say goodbye to many talented writers as they returned to their daily lives.
We’ve kept the editorial alive through the efforts of several individuals, but to be sustainable, we needed a solid team—and this year, we built one!
I’ve even started writing more myself, which has been a fun and rewarding experience. I plan to stay closely involved with the Editorial team and our team leaders moving forward. This is fun!
When I asked some of the team to share their thoughts on 2024, here’s what they had to say:
Drew Webb (COO)
My year at Threshold has been jam packed, and absolutely amazing! I got to write some cool articles this year, with the few investigative pieces I was involved in being my favorites. I got to go to FSExpo in Las Vegas as a Media Partner, meeting some incredible people, covering the event, and filming and editing video interviews all by yours truly (but you'll see more than just me at FSExpo next year!). In 2024, I went from writer, to Deputy Editor-in-Chief, and now to COO, and while all this change has come with more challenges, this has been some of the most rewarding work I've ever had the privilege to do. This year has been a landmark one for me and for Threshold, and I can't wait to see all the wonderful things that 2025 has in store for the flight simulation community.
Artur Araripe (Editor-in-Chief)
My year couldn't have been better! We managed to build a solid team of very dedicated people, coverage remained consistent throughout the whole twelve months, many interesting products were reviewed, and I can't help but feel we have all done an amazing job. I'm very much looking forward to 2025 and ready to give it my all once again, and I'm sure the rest of the Threshold team is on the same page!
Sem Hage (Deputy Editor-in-Chief)
2024 has been an incredible year! It’s hard to believe how quickly time has passed. Since I joined the team at Threshold in March, I have had a wonderful experience writing various pieces, including news articles and reviews. I sincerely hope our readers have enjoyed what I’ve shared. It is an absolute honor to be part of the thriving team at Threshold, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds. As we look ahead to 2025, I'm excited about the opportunities to write and connect even more with our community!
Riley Wilson (Writer)
What can I say about 2024 other than WOW! This year has been filled with tragedy and loss for me, and the whole team at Threshold has been incredible through everything. On the writing side of things, I got to collaborate with some truly brilliant folks - be it with investigative articles or the reviews I’ve been given the chance to work on. I’m filled with pride and excitement about this team and can’t wait to see all we accomplish in 2025!
Petar Radovic (Writer)
Since joining the team in March, I’ve had the chance to share my passion for aviation and flight simulators through writing articles and reviews. It’s been incredible to connect with such an enthusiastic community. Being part of the Threshold team has been an honor, and I’m excited to see what 2025 has to bring to this amazing community!
Anders Lunde (Onboarding Writer)
What an incredible year 2024 has been! Although I joined the team relatively recently, I’ve already had amazing experiences writing for Threshold. The team has been incredibly welcoming, and their support has made me feel right at home. As we look ahead to 2025, I’m eager to contribute even more and continue honing my craft. With great simulators, a vibrant community, and an exceptional team at Threshold, the future looks bright. I can’t wait to see what we will accomplish together in the coming year!
Looking Forward to 2025
Big things are on the horizon! We’ve been hard at work behind the scenes on several projects, and we’re excited to share the results with you in the coming year.
Thank You!
None of this would be possible without our vibrant and supportive community. Whether you’re a developer, writer, or reader, you’ve been a core part of our journey. Thank you for making Threshold what it is today.
We wish you all happy holidays and look forward to soaring into 2025 with you!
Warm regards,
The Threshold Team
