Threshold Monthly Newsletter
February 2025
Message from the Editorial Team
Welcome to the eleventh newsletter from Threshold!
In February, we wrote 34 news pieces and 4 articles.
Welcome to the February edition of the Threshold Monthly Newsletter! February was a big month for flight simulation, with big announcements like the Flight Sim Awards, and releases like the iniBuilds Airbus A350 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024.
As we wrap up February, we look forward to all that March will bring! We’ll also be at FSWeekend from March 13 to 15 in Lelystad, Netherlands, covering the event in-person, so stay tuned to Threshold to keep up with the latest! If you are going to the event and see us around the exhibit hall, feel free to say hi!
Threshold Needs Your Support!
Threshold has always been powered by the community, built by volunteers who believe in delivering high-quality, independent flight simulation news, reviews, and discussions. But keeping it all running has a high monthly cost - from website hosting, to forum maintenance, and editorial content.
Beyond these essential costs, we also want to send our team to events like FSExpo, FSWeekend, and other key gatherings. These events are where the flight simulation world comes together, and being there in-person allows us to bring you firsthand coverage, interviews, and insights. But attending these expos is expensive - flights, hotels, and equipment all add up quickly. We simply don’t have the budget to make it happen right now.
We’ve set up a Patreon where you can help us sustain Threshold and support our ability to cover these events. Even small monthly donations make a huge difference:

If you can’t contribute financially, you can still help by:
Spreading the word - share this with fellow simmers
Disabling ad blockers on our site to support ad revenue
Purchasing add-ons through the Threshold Store
Threshold has always been about community. If you have ideas, suggestions, or skills that could help us grow and sustain the platform, we’d love to hear from you! Reach out on our Discord or Forum.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Whether through Patreon, sharing our work, or simply engaging with us, your support keeps Threshold alive. We appreciate you!

Captain’s Dinner and Flight Sim Awards 2025
Threshold, cruiselevel.de, and FSElite are proud to announce the Flight Sim Awards 2025. Taking place at the Captain’s Dinner the night before FlightSimWeekend 2025, the event is all about honoring the best add-ons for a variety of categories within the flight simulation community.
Although voting for the awards has ended, the winners are based on both votes from the community and the Flight Sim Awards jury, on a 50/50 split.
We look forward to this year’s rendition of the Flight Sim Awards, and hope there are many to come. Are you coming to this year’s Captain’s Dinner and Flight Sim Awards? If not, we hope to see you next year!
